Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President Sales, this position will be responsible to secure orders for kostklip’s ClearVision® family of products and other Shelf Edge Merchandising programs or products within a defined sales territory and specific retail market segments. The position is based from the corporate head office and requires frequent travel within a large sales territory. The customer base consists of many of North America’s largest fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

  • Secures opportunities to quote on the ClearVision® family of products and other Shelf Edge Merchandising program solutions.
  • Follows up on quotations submitted to customers.
  • Secures sales orders by means of visiting the customer facility and by phone, fax and email.
  • Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
  • Prepares a strategic sales plan for the sales.
  • Territory and executes on the plan effectively.
  • Submits activity/call reports concerning.
  • Customer-related activities for quotes, orders and problems concerning customer relationships.
  • Records all pertinent communications and contacts with customers/prospects in the corporate CRM database.
  • Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
  • Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the VP Sales.
  • Prepares and executes sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the sales manager.

Qualifications

  • BA or five years experience in sales to major accounts in the retail sector.
  • Minimum 2 years outside sales experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales excellence.
  • Superior communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 1 - 2 weeks per month.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Superior computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to excel in a team based sales environment.

Relation of the position to others in the company

  • Will work cooperatively with other members of the Marketing, Customer Service and Outside Sales Department and will be expected to provide assistance as needed.
  • The position will also interact with all other departments in the company.
