Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President Sales, this position will be responsible to secure orders for kostklip’s ClearVision® family of products and other Shelf Edge Merchandising programs or products within a defined sales territory and specific retail market segments. The position is based from the corporate head office and requires frequent travel within a large sales territory. The customer base consists of many of North America’s largest fortune 500 companies.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
- Secures opportunities to quote on the ClearVision® family of products and other Shelf Edge Merchandising program solutions.
- Follows up on quotations submitted to customers.
- Secures sales orders by means of visiting the customer facility and by phone, fax and email.
- Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
- Prepares a strategic sales plan for the sales.
- Territory and executes on the plan effectively.
- Submits activity/call reports concerning.
- Customer-related activities for quotes, orders and problems concerning customer relationships.
- Records all pertinent communications and contacts with customers/prospects in the corporate CRM database.
- Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
- Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by the VP Sales.
- Prepares and executes sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
- Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the sales manager.
Qualifications
- BA or five years experience in sales to major accounts in the retail sector.
- Minimum 2 years outside sales experience.
- Demonstrable track record of sales excellence.
- Superior communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
- Willingness to travel approximately 1 - 2 weeks per month.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Superior computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Able to excel in a team based sales environment.
Relation of the position to others in the company
- Will work cooperatively with other members of the Marketing, Customer Service and Outside Sales Department and will be expected to provide assistance as needed.
- The position will also interact with all other departments in the company.
