Position: Manufacturing Engineering Technologist
Reporting to: Engineering Operations Manager

We are a firm specializing in design and manufacture of various plastic components for the grocery and retail sector. Our niche is practical design solutions for unique Point of Purchase display concepts. Because of the urgency for quick response on both estimating and delivery of these products we depend on Solid Works and AutoCAD extensively.

This position will be responsible for the preparation and accuracy of all company engineering and quotation documentation as well as manufacturing process improvements.

Due to the high level of interaction with all departments this individual must possess the presence, stature and credibility to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with executive management, department managers, production employees as well as individuals at all levels.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from a Mechanical Technologist or Operations Management Discipline, or a demonstrated equivalent.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and an understanding of the general manufacturing process.
• Proficient with the use of a PC as a tool for design, documentation, tracking and communication.
• Experience working with MRP or ERP software.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, self-starter
• Familiarity with 2D CAD and Solid Works would be an asset.
• Plastics manufacturing experience would be an asset.
